Urban Kickstart – launch!

During the last five years, I have been collaborating with several longstanding friends and colleagues to establish a charity to help young built environment professionals in the global South who want to kickstart their careers helping the urban poor to access secure land and affordable housing. Despite initial setbacks, we persevered and I am delighted to be able to let you know that as a result of extensive discussions with the trustees of the Aubrey Barker Fund charity, our Urban  Kickstart Scheme has finally been approved by the ABF trustees and is now live!
Details of the scheme, including its objectives, scope, eligibility criteria and application forms can be found at this link: ABF-UrbanKIckstart – Aubrey Barker Fund

Please circulate details to anyone you think may be interested as this will help ensure we generate many high standard applications. My colleague Shantanu Raut has kindly offered to monitor how it is being promoted, so it would be appreciated, though not essential, that you let him and myself know how widely we are promoting the scheme.

All the best,

Geoff
