Geoff is happy to announce that DFDN has gained agreement by the Institution of Engineers (ICE), the Royal Institute of British Architects (RIBA), the Royal Institution of Civil Engineers and the Royal Town Planning Institute (RTPI) to make a joint submission to the review of UK funding for humanitarian relief being chaired by Lord Ashdown. The review is examining the role of the UK Department for International Development (DFID) in humanitarian relief emergency. The submission, which was drafted by Geoff with colleagues in DFDN and particularly Shailesh kataria of the RICS President’s Commission on Disaster Management, was submitted to DFID today on behalf of the UK professional institutions.
